Taking Matters Into His Own Hands
It seemed that nearly every title was under the name of Kirby McCauley — the man best known as Stephen King’s literary agent! As Steve researched further, he noticed that Richard’s author photo bore an eerie resemblance to Kirby. Evidently, Richard Bachman had close ties to Stephen King, or was he perhaps working with him? Steve knew he needed to find out the truth, so he decided to direct his questions to the king of horror himself. He penned a letter to Stephen King detailing his findings. As he sealed and sent the letter, Steve hoped he would finally have the answers.
