Shopping As Therapy
While much of what Sarah shops for at Goodwill is for her store’s inventory, she loves looking for items that she and her family could use as well. She admits that the twice-weekly trips to the store aren’t really all about looking for things to sell, but more because she feels a certain sense of calm while sifting through the racks.
Whenever she feels stressed, she just heads over to the shop to walk around, sometimes not really purposely looking for something. So when that day came that she needed a diaper bag — and found a perfect one on sale — she was over the moon at her great luck.
