Slippery Slope
Rebecca could not take it anymore. She had packed her bags and moved away, back to her hometown and taken their son with her. When Matthew got home, he walked into a cold, empty home. Rebecca felt that she could no longer deal with being left alone for weeks and months on end anymore. While Matthew had no choice in the matter, Rebecca had been left alone to deal with a newborn son for more than a year already. Matthew understood how difficult it had been. They patched things up and had two more children together. However, he always remained nervous. Then a single phone call from a friend made his trust disappear again.
