He Was Fired
Phone interviewed a french-Canadian applicant for a job in the UK. His answers were monosyllabic if more than “errrr” my boss then figured he could only speak French and asked me to continue with the interview. It got slightly better until I asked why he left his last position, and he straight up said he was fired. Nope.
