Galedary hates the fact that kids on the Westside are now spending money on electric scooters instead of skateboarding or surfing, which he considers to be a “local tradition”. Asides from all the traffic accidents they cause, he also feels like the city is losing out on its essence. “The city is already losing so much culture due to gentrification,” he told The LA Times.
