Time and dog slobber help to erode even the hardest rubber toys. These eroded pieces can cause choking or be swallowed and lodge in the digestive tract.
So, never give your dog softer rubber toys, even if they are heavily promoted by stores. Choose the hardest rubber and be sure to replace it when it shows signs of wear.
