Sullivan runs the TransLiberation Art Coalition, an activist art collective that tackles issues of gender identity. Though he was born biologically female, he never felt right in his skin until he transitioned. “I was always an anxious kid who felt intuitively disconnected from myself and in my dreams I was always a boy,” he told the Daily Mail. “I felt like a ton of bricks had been lifted off my chest when I admitted it to myself.”
