It was filmmaker Jason Parker’s intention to make a short film about his partner Tracey’s pregnancy. But when it was discovered that Tracey could not become pregnant, Parker turned the camera on himself. “The proper story would be that somebody keeps their gender identity regardless,” he told The Guardian. “‘I’m a man and I’m pregnant but I’m still a man, and this is a man’s pregnant tummy.’ But for me, it felt really different.”
