The Rescue
The blonde female’s condition was relatively stable when Gourmelon got her out of the vehicle, so he was shocked to find out that she later died in the hospital. While he was getting her out of the Benz, he had no clue as to who she was and was bent on simply providing the help that she needed at that crucial moment.
Later on, he was more surprised to discover that the blonde female he had rescued was Diana, the Princess of Wales. But that was not all there was to the situation. As he was helping her out, she whispered something to the firefighter, which he decided to keep to himself for 20 years.
