He ran in when the owner yelled at him, “Sir, we’re closed!”. He didn’t look like he cared much. He looked like he was planning something despicable. The owner made a quick escape to the back.
Daniel had been trying to have his meal peacefully, but the stranger had disrupted it. He got up in an attempt to draw the man’s focus. The stranger had been a robber because he was incognito in his white hoodie. The robber did not know what he had gotten himself into.
Every Day
Daniel had gone there for dinner every day after his time at the studio. The sun had usually already set by that time. He had been famished after working out, and the only thing he was thinking about would be food.
Hed would quickly change into something more comfortable, say his goodbyes then make his way to the restaurant. It had been one of the few that he frequented that would be open at 9 pm.
A Good Man
He had always tried to be a stand-up guy. He likes to think that if he ever had to, he would put himself at risk for others. His parents did a good job teaching him wrong from right.
He had appreciated his parents for making him the way that he was. He was a delivery man who spent 9 hours delivering packages. He also had a peculiar hobby that people never really understood, but it had made him happy.
Martial Arts
His friends had thought it hysterical that he had been so passionate about something obscure. He attempted to explain to them what type of martial art he had been doing, and they always said, “but that sounds just like karate?”.
People mock karate because there are so many people who do it as a hobby. Getting your brown belt is easy, and everyone could do it, but what Daniel did was more advanced. And it had been a handy skill when that man planned to rob the restaurant.
No Choice
Daniel did a more advanced form of martial art. It had been a disputed form of martial arts, and people were at odds. With this form of martial arts, you must dedicate a lot of time and focus. Some of the armies of the extremists used it.
I found it therapeutic. He didn’t think that he would have to use it. However, he did not get to choose that night.
Extreme Martial Art
After his final delivery had been made, Daniel made his way to the Dojo and got started after greeting his sensei. He had been practicing Krav Maga, the same form of martial art that they use in the Israeli Defense Force.
Its made up of moves from various other martial arts for a more efficient form of martial art. It would serve as a powerful way of defending yourself. Something that Daniel would be grateful for.
Dinner Plans
Daniel trained intensively and had to eat afterward, but he did not necessarily have the strength to make food. So he ate at a restaurant nearby that had been open then.
On that fateful evening, he saw a lady who looked like she had been locked up. He ran over and asked, “You closing?”. She had looked over in his direction and, with a smile, asked him, “You hungry, son?”.
After Hours
The owner was very kind and showed Daniel some compassion. She waited for him to finish his meal in an empty restaurant with chairs on tables and most of the lights already switched off. She was ready to go home. Daniel couldn’t believe that a stranger could be this kind.
She went to the back to make his meal of choice, and he had been alone in the empty restaurant. It had felt strange to be the only customer.
Stamina
After a few minutes, the lady came out of the kitchen with his food. He said thank you before she headed back to clean the dishes. While she was doing that, he ate a delicious plate of hot food. ; by
He had been exhausted, but the food had given him back some of his strength. Unknowing that he would have to put his restored stamina to use only moments later.
An Act Of Heroism
He had considered all the ways he could repay the kind lady for everything she’d done for him. A big tip would be in-store and an act of heroism. He finished his dinner and took a sip of his water.
In the corner of his eye, he spotted movement. The lady went to the door to probably let the stranger know that the restaurant had been closed, but they could not have foreseen what would happen.
Interrupted His Meal
The man charged in without hesitation. The owner shouted, “Sir, we’re closed!” But that didn’t seem to be the stranger’s primary concern. It seems the man had sinister intentions. The owner turned and ran back as she screamed.
Daniel had only come to enjoy his meal, but now he was interrupted. He rose to his feet and got the man’s attention. He was wearing a white hoodie, he was clearly there to rob them, but he had no idea who he was dealing with.
Overconfident Robber
The robber oozed confidence, but he didn’t know Daniel. Just a block away was the Dojo, where he trained every day. If heHe would have given this robbery a little more thought, if he knew that that’s where he had come from, he would have given this robbery a little more thought.
Daniel saw he had an object in his pocket, but he wouldn’t let him even get a chance to get it out. He rushed the robber and tackled him to the ground.
Police Arrive
The robber didn’t stand a chance, he may have had a weapon in his pocket, but it didn’t matter when Daniel had tempered his body as a weapon. He pinned him until the police arrived 10 minutes later.
The cops were quick to take over where Daniel started. They dragged the robber away and congratulated him on a job well done.
Just Doing A Good Deed
Daniel didn’t feel like he needed to be thanked. He was doing what anyone else would have. He wouldn’t let a robber get away with anything. It was the least he could do for the lady who had given him a meal.
He ensured the restaurant owner was okay, paid for his meal, and then went. The police didn’t even ask for a statement. It was clear they knew what he had done was right. But he had no idea what would come next.
A Medal
Daniel’s head hit his pillow quickly once he got back home. He wanted to forget about the day’s events. But he had no idea that someone else would make sure they would always be remembered.
The following day, he heard a knock on his door. ItA government official told him he’d be awarded a medal from the mayor for his deed!
