The Test
The “fingertip test” was the school’s way of checking the length of a girls clothes. Tony made Demetra stand and let her arms relax by sides. If her fingers were past the hem of her shorts they were too short. However, the shorts were longer. This meant that the school was wrong and they very quickly tried to come up with another reason.
