Astronauts William Anders, Jim Lovell, Frank Borman televised their mission and everyone on Earth was watching them, making it the most watched TV program in history!
The mission is also famous for the first earthrise photo. After their return, the Apollo 8 crew members were named the “Men of the Year” for 1968 by Time magazine.
