My Bestie’ Secret
I met my best friend in high school and more than 10 years later, we’re still inseparable. He was gay and thought I didn’t know; I think he was embarrassed to tell me. If he did, it would not change a thing; he would still be my best friend. I’m a high-rise window cleaner and I saw my best friend in a hotel room with one of our old friends from high school. I thought that it was funny, so I knocked on the window. They both jumped to the point where they banged heads. He opened the window and asked, ‘So, hey uh, did you see anything?’ I replied, ‘No not really, just you two making out.’ He looked shocked. Eventually, he came out to me and said, ‘Look I’M GAY.’ I said, ‘Yeah, I know. We’ve been best friends since high school, you think I don’t know. I’m glad you came out to me. I got to clean the rest of these windows though.’ He didn’t look shocked this time, he looked like a weight he had been carrying for years had just been lifted.
