Amanda Seyfried, Ashley Lilley and Rachel McDowall played in the movie “Mamma Mia!” together and they loved it so much that they got matching tattoos. That’s definitely not the spelling for the movie title and if you’re form the UK, you might be a bit shocked since the word clearly means… vagina.
About that, Amanda explained the reason for the three girls choosing to write such a word on their feet: “We’re best friends,” Amanda said in an interview, explaining that “minge” was a “term of endearment,” while admitting the obvious…
“In England, it means vagina. But in the U.S., which is where I spend most of my time, it just doesn’t mean anything. So we commemorated our friendship with ‘minge’ tattoos,” she said, adding that in the UK she’s seen a lot of people rolling their eyes when they read the word. Nonetheless, since the Mamma Mia! sequel explores female sexuality, it’s only fitting that the trio tats are empowering them. And notice even her Instagram account has nearly the same name!
