A Soviet Soldier Feeding a Polar Bear
This amazing photo was taken in the Chukchi Peninsula in the Soviet Union in which a Soviet soldier is hand-feeding a polar bear. It takes a lot of courage to feed a wild animal since you don’t know what they’re thinking or planning to do next, but this man overcame his fear to help a mama bear. Sometimes, the temperature drops to 25-degrees below zero, and it snows so much that it becomes very difficult for animals to find food. These polar bears were starving, so he fed them the only item he had in abundance- a tin can of condensed milk.
