A Morning Glory Cloud Formation
While this photo may look photoshopped, it’s actually 100% real. This rare phenomenon is called the morning glory cloud, and it only occurs in Northern Australia, in the southern region of the Gulf of Carpentaria. This photo was taken from a plane near Burketown heading to Normanton. These strange cloud formations are most frequently seen between the end of September and early November. Burketown attracts many visitors and weather experts because of this peculiar yet beautiful phenomenon.
