A Tornado in Oklahoma
In 1989, a tornado struck an Oklahoman town, Waynoka, and it looks like one of the residents was prepared with a camera to take a photo of the storm. Some people claim that the two men in this photograph were storm chasers, although the first recognized storm chaser, David Hoadley, was born 40 years after this photo was taken. Hoadley started his career in 1956 in North Dakota and later founded “Storm Track” magazine.
