Sea Stars and a Crab Having a Feast
Everything in nature has a purpose. When an animal dies, it becomes food for other living creatures. In this photo, a crab and sea stars are all sharing this squid carcass together. It’s hard to imagine that a peaceful, cute sea star is actually a carnivore. They mostly eat oysters, mussels, barnacles, snails, mollusks and sometimes feast on other dead sea animals.
