We have to admit that this photo of President Roosevelt riding a moose in the river is fake. It first appeared on September 8, 1912, and was used in a political campaign when he was running for the Progressive Party’s presidency. The moose was their mascot, and during the election, the Democratic candidate Woodrow Wilson and the Republican incumbent William Howard Taft were both running against Teddy Roosevelt.
