Traditional Bulgarian Wedding Dress
In the Ribnovo region of Southwest Bulgaria it is traditional to paint the bride’s face white and decorate her with sequins. The practice is called ‘gelena’ and it goes back for centuries. Bulgarian weddings traditionally last for five days and include lots of festivities.
