In 1871, Pomeroy lured seven young boys, stripped them, tied them up and beat them with his fist, belt, or poking pins. He had been torturing kids since he was 11. He was sent to reform school but was released when he was 18. Then he went to prison after mutilating and killing 10-year-old Mary Curran and four-year-old Horace Mullen. He also confessed to killing 27 people and was convicted of first-degree murder.
