After a fortune teller’s prediction, Leonarda Cianciulli decided to kill three women in Correggio, Italy, between 1939 and 1940. She used caustic soda to disintegrate the remains and supposedly turned one of her victims into soap, which is how she got her nickname, “the soap-maker of Correggio”.
