Josef Mengele was the lead doctor at the Nazi-controlled concentration camp in Auschwitz. He performed horrible experiments like limb amputations, gassing people, and even injecting prisoners’ eyes to see if they changed color. Many of his victims were killed “in the name of research”. He escaped to South America and died of a stroke in 1979.
