Dorothea Waddingham
In the 1930s, Dorothea Waddingham used her status as a matron at an English nursing home to poison an elderly mother and her daughter who had multiple sclerosis. An autopsy revealed she had administered an overdose of morphine to the women in order to take their inheritance. In 1936, she was tried and hanged for the murders.
