William Heirens
There were some doubts as to whether William Heirens beheaded a 6-year-old girl and murdered two others, but he still got life in prison. The media dubbed him “The Lipstick Killer” after they found the words, “For heaven’s sake, catch me before I kill more I can not control myself” written on the wall of Frances Brown’s apartment using lipstick, which authorities assumed might have been one of Heirens’ victims.
