In the 1890’s, machines like this one were marketed by Professor Eugene Mack to those who wanted to get rid of double chins. The device supposedly got rid of them when a wearer pulled a cord on the contraption. The machine also claimed it reduced enlarged glands and also prevented double chins from ever coming back.
