Bullied
One of the reasons why Paige was home-schooled was due to the fact that she had endured a lot of bullying at school. Paige had asthma, which prevented her from going over to others for sleepovers and her hair fell out due to a rare scalp condition, resulting in her always having her hair in a bowl cut.
These things all made her an ideal target for bullies. As a child she was seen as the strange kid because of all her problems. As a result the other children at school actively shunned her. According to Paige, many of the children even threw rocks at her during recess.
