Eventually, photos of people sitting on the peacock chair wasn’t enough. Soon the chair began to appear on television shows. In the 1960’s, on the TV series, “The Addams Family,” Morticia’s chair was the popular peacock chair. It may seem out of place, but it was more glamorous and exuberant than if she just sat in a normal household chair.
