Edie Sedgwick
Andy Warhol’s muse for this painting was Edie Sedgwick who was actually very healthy. Her mother was a descendant of the Southern Pacific Railroad and her father’s lineage was connected to the Declaration of Independence’s signing. However, she died at 28 from a barbiturate overdose.
