According to Erikson, the concept of a WerePup has been in her mind since childhood. “I grew up very secluded–I was home-schooled–and all my best friends were dogs,” she said. “I think I just made them as I saw them in my head. I wanted them to look scientifically possible. Like, if these wer ereally things in the real world, what would they look like?”
