Emmeline Pankhurst
Pankhurst was a powerful leading figure in women’s suffrage in Britain and America during the early 1900s. She led the movement in the fight for women’s votes in which she was imprisoned and force fed during her hunger strike. Along with her daughters, she founded the Women’s Social and Political Union which was the backbone for reform in gender inequalities.
