Razia Sultana
In 1205, Sulltana became the first female Muslim ruler, tearing down gender conforming ideologies. She showed her country that women could be leaders of men when she fought her brother for the throne. She shocked Islamic culture when she wore men’s clothes in court and on the battlefield, and challenged gender roles when she appointed a male slave to be her attendant.
