Jiang Qing
An actor turned politician, Qing was married to the first leader of the People’s Republic of China, in which she became a powerful political figure herself. Her career in the film industry prepped her to create communist propaganda which purged all Chinese literature and media. Behind the scenes, Qing was responsible for the imprisonment and murder of China’s enemies.
