Too Many People Showed Up

The initial projection of people, at least those who bought tickets to Woodstock, was around 200,000. On the day of the festival, more than 500,000 arrived. Since the venue did not have fences or ticket booths set up, people could come and go as they pleased. And since a vast majority of attendees did not buy tickets, that number of 500,000 people is only an estimation.
