Versace is kind of gaudy, but in a really expensive, couture sort of way. The ‘00s wanted none of that shit. So we got Ed Hardy, which was definitely gaudy, and not at all in an expensive or couture sort of way. But dammit if we weren’t going to put it all over hats, shirts, shoes… pretty much any fabric surface available to us.
