If there’s any single item of clothing that’s both immediately identifiable to a specific group of people (like hipsters) and universally despised (like hipsters), it’s the goddam fedora. Everyone had one. And they paired them with literally anything they could pull from their closet in a blind, drunken stupor. Cropped pinstriped pants and suspenders? Throw a fedora on that ensemble and call it a day.
