Macintosh TV

It might surprise you to learn that Apple’s first attempt at a TV product actually came in 1993 and was even more misguided. Though the Macintosh TV could function as both a computer and a television, this dual feature was mostly pointless as there was almost no connection between the two functionalities, and the unit couldn’t even perform any computing while in TV viewing mode. Apple discontinued the product after only three months on the market and 10,000 units sold.
