Apple III

One of the company’s earliest product failures, 1980’s Apple III was designed as a business computer with a jaw-dropping price tag equivalent to about $20,000 today. Unfortunately, major design flaws kept the computer from being anywhere close to worth the investment, primarily related to chips dislodging from the logic board. Apple tried to offer the laughable solution of tilting and dropping the computer to jar them back into place, but eventually had to issue a massive recall that marred the product’s reputation.
