Apple Lisa

Three years later, the Apple Lisa became another notable flop, perhaps in part due to the ousting of Steve Jobs from the project. The Lisa was Apple’s first computer with a Graphical User Interface, but it was even more ridiculously expensive than the Apple III. When the Jobs-helmed Macintosh was released just one year later with a similar GUI, a much more reasonable price, and the hype generated from the iconic “1984” advertisement, it spelled doom for any chance at success for the Lisa.
