Apple’s Worst Products and Design Fails of All Time

20th Anniversary Macintosh

Christie’s

The Macintosh line struggled a bit after Steve Jobs was forced out of Apple in 1985, but the company still tried to find a way to celebrate in 1996, the 20th anniversary of Apple’s founding, by releasing the 20th Anniversary Macintosh. The computer boasted some interesting features, with a thin monitor and a trackpad, but it somehow managed to look worse than its 1984 predecessor, and its $7500 cost ran counter to the original’s affordability. In the end, it was little more than a collector’s item.
