‘Hockey Puck’ USB Mouse
Steve Jobs’s return in 1997 soon brought about the much more successful and visually striking iMac, but the computer’s USB mouse, not-so-affectionately dubbed the “Hockey Puck,” was an undeniable misstep. Its round shape and transparent casing matched the aesthetic of the computer, but it also made the mouse incredibly frustrating and uncomfortable to use and control.
