12-inch MacBook

One notable casualty of the move to USB-C was Apple’s 12-inch MacBook, first introduced in 2015. While its Retina Display and technical specs were praised, the laptop had just one USB-C input, meaning that users not only found themselves in need of ugly dongles, but they also couldn’t even charge their computer while anything else was plugged in. Ultimately, Apple saw sales of the product decline in favor of the MacBook Air and MacBook Pro, and they discontinued the 12-inch MacBook in 2019.
