3rd Generation iPod Shuffle

Yet another example of failed experimentation in the 3rd generation, Apple removed almost all buttons from the 2009 version of its iPod Shuffle and attempted to replace them with voiceover features and an overly complicated button system built into the included earbuds. Users threw up their hands in frustration at the difficulty of the controls, as well as the lack of compatibility with third-party headphones which prompted yet more complaints about Apple’s cash grabs.
