The Teacher Was Reading a Story
“I was in a team meeting today with a colleague who was sharing space with her daughter, whose class had a zoom call. When we logged in, my colleague said, “I just have to show you what she’s doing because I can’t stop laughing.” Her daughter has her laptop propped up at the end of the couch and is lying in front of it face down, perfectly still. Mom suggests maybe she should turn her camera off if she needs a break? And the muffled response comes back, “No, it’s okay. The teacher is reading a story.”
