“I’m the tutor and tutor college student daily, online using Google Hangouts. His mom regularly wanders in and starts talking to him in Finnish. Very often, when we’re working through one of his quizzes. Then she gets all excited to see he is in tutoring and has to say hi to me. Poor guy gets so embarrassed. Today it was his sister blowing up his texts and repeatedly calling during a quiz. He finally answered, telling her in a mix of Finnish and English that he is trying to work and he will answer her later. It was pretty ridiculous. It was only a 10 point quiz and took us an hour to do due to the interruptions.”
