Although Coachella has been around since 1999, it took until 2011 for a rapper to headline the festival. That year, Jay-Z became the first rapper to headline and he did not disappoint. Beyonce graced the stage with him to sing “Young Forever,” and he did some killer covers like Oasis’s “Wonderwall.”
