David soon came to the realization that he had stumbled upon a treasure that had long since been reported missing. While he was initially stunned, fear quickly came over him: what if someone else was able to identify the painting? He could have become a target for someone who wanted to steal the piece. Therefore, to hide it, he locked the painting in his store’s bathroom as that was the only room there that could have been bolted shut. When he was done, he called the Tucson Museum. How would they handle such a discovery?
