A Blemish
Rose would often spènd hours mulling over the painting. She felt so connected to it. On one hand, it was something that had special meaning to her in terms of her childhood. When she looked at it, she could remember herself as a young girl admiring it, remembering how looking at it filled with her peace as a child. Now, since her grandmother has passed, it had acquired new meaning. It was during one of those times she observed that something had been compromising the aesthetic appeal of the painting: a small blemish. She soon realized that the blemish was, in fact, a tiny black insect that had managed to lodge itself between the canvas and the glass plate in the frame. What would she do…?
