Waiting In Line

It was this discovery that led Rose to where she was today: sitting at the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex & Expo Center waiting for her turn in line. She had been waiting for practically the whole day. Finally, the time had come: she had been assigned an appraiser. As she made her way towards her, she felt mixed emotions. While she was happy to know that she would soon be able to resolve her suspicions about the painting, she also didn’t know what to expect. She sat down opposite Meredith Hilferty, the master appraiser. The time had come: what would the verdict be?
Kicking Things Off

Rose eyed Meredith with utmost curiosity. She couldn’t help but think of the wealth of knowledge that this woman had when it came to history, culture, and the past. She believed that this woman would be able to give her the answer to a question that she had long since been yearning to know. Meredith began by asking Rose questions about the piece of art, particularly, the artist. Surprisingly, Rose, unlike most participants, was able to provide some key details about the piece. She stated that she believed that the artist was born in France but then spent a significant portion of his life living in Pennsylvania. The more she spoke, the more intrigued Meredith looked: just what was she thinking?
