Spider-Man: Homecoming

Cast: Zendaya plays Michelle “MJ” Jones, one of Peter Parker’s classmates and friends. Donald Glover plays Aaron Davis, who in the comics is the uncle of Miles Morales. Filipino-American actor Jacob Batalon plays Parker’s best friend Ned. Biracial actor Laura Harrier plays Liz, Parker’s love interest and Vulture’s daughter. Guatemalan actor Tony Revolori plays Eugene “Flash” Thompson, Parker’s rival — this character was white in the comics, and Revolori recieved death threats. Haitian-American actor Garcelle Beauvais plays Doris, Vulture’s wife and Liz’s mother. Black actor Bokeem Woodbine plays one of Vulture’s henchmen in a nod to the character Shocker. Mexican-Canadian actor Michael Mando plays Mac Gargan, in a nod to the character Scorpion. Kenneth Choi appears again, playing the descendent of his character in Captain America: The First Avenger. Hannibal Burress cameos as an apathetic gym teacher. Tunde Adebimpe, actor and lead singer of TV On The Radio, appears as Mr. Cobbwell. Many of Parker’s other teachers and classmates are people of color.
